Intro: D G

          D C
When the day began And you opened up your eyes
         G F E D
No, you didn’t recognize What you were seeing
        D C
Then it all came back You remembered where you’ve been
          G F E D
Well, it never seems to end And you’re still running
F G
Will you ever change your mind
              Bb C
You’re almost out of time

            D Bb
You better give up, gotta stop running
         C Bb C
It’s the end of the line, It’s time to surrender
D Bb
Hands up, Turn it around
 C Bb C
Fall to the ground, Are you gonna surrender

         D C
Now the day is done, And you want to close your eyes
        G F E D
And pretend that you are fine But you’d be lying
        D C
And you want it back The life that you once had
        G F E D
‘Cause inside you find That you are slowly dying
F G
Will you ever change your mind
              Bb C
You’re almost out of time

Instrumental: D Bb C Bb C

(Note: this can be played in Drop D if you want. it sounds pretty cool on
acoustic. and i'm unsure about the intro. but its the two chords played. with all
that slide fill and everything)

Good job for the most part. There are a couple of places I think there needs to be some correction though. First off, I cant quite get what I think is the right cord but in the verse when you transition from F to E, this doesn't quite jive with the song, and musically, doesnt make much sense. I played around with it and the best I could come up with for now is a Am7. The reason why I bring this up is because if the song is in the key of C, E is the third, and technically would be a minor, but neither seems to work. Am7 makes a bit more sense because its the seventh, and making it a minor 7 seems to flow a bit more with the rest of the music. Im no music scholar, its just my humble 2 cents worth. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge on it can comment and give us a bit more clarification on the subject.

Also, at the end of the chorus, it should go (C)Surren(D)der. With that, it should transition real nice into the verse.
