Intro: Csus--C#-- x2

Verse 1:
    C#sus C#
The flowers you gave me
    C#7 F#
Are just about to die
       D#m
When I think about
     C#
What could've been
   D#m G#sus G#
It makes me want to cry
    C#sus C#
The sweet words you whispered
C#7 F#
Didn't mean a thing
  D#m C#
I guess our song is over
D#m G#sus G#
  As we begin to sing

Chorus 1:
F# C#
Could've been so beautiful
D#m C# C#7
  Could've been so right
F# C#
  Could've been my lover
D#m Gsus G#
  Every day of my life
F# C#
Could've been so beautiful
F A#m F/A G# D#/G
  Could've been so right
F# C#
I'll never hold what could've been
     D#m G#
On a cold and lonely night

Post chorus: Csus--C--Csus--G--

Verse 2:
    C#sus C#
The members of our loving
      C#7 F#
Still linger in the air
         D#m C#
Like the faded scent of your roses
D#m G#sus G#
  They stay with me everywhere
     A#m F/A
Everytime I get my hopes up
     G# D#/G
They always seem to fall
      D#m A#/D
Still what could've been is better than
           D#m C D#m G#sus-G#
What could never be at all be at all

Chorus 2:
F# C#
Could've been so beautiful
D#m C# C#7
  Could've been so right
F# C#
  Could've been my lover
D#m G#sus G#
  Every day of my life
F# C#
Could've been so beautiful
F A#m F/A G# D#/G
  Could've been so right
F# C#
You can hold what could've been
     D#m G#
On a cold and lonely night

Guitar Solo: F#--C#--D#m--C#--F#--C#--D#m--G#sus-G#-

Chorus 3:
F# C#
Could've been so beautiful

  Could've been so right
F# C#

On a cold and lonely night

I think the mysterious chord is B... or at least a variant of it.

Also, it's not members of our loving... it's memories. Members sounds kind of kinky tho.

At the line where it's sung, "What could never be at all"...at 'all' I sung an F. Then when the second 'at all' is sung, I finished with the Dm, then G and it sounded pretty good.
