Tina Dico - Count To Ten
Tabbed by lwm89
Capo on 2nd fret

Chords used:
Am x02210
Am/G 3x2210
Am/F 1x2210
Am/E 0x2210

Basically you just finger the D and G strings on the 2nd fret and change the bass
note as required. You can use your thumb over the neck to play the F on the 6th string.

For a video on how to do the picking pattern see Tina Dicos own tutorial at www.tinadico.com/songbook

This is the picking pattern used throughout the song e.g. for Am:

  Am
e|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------|
B|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------|
G|------2-------2|------2-------2|------2-------2|------2-------2|
D|----2---0h2-2--|----2---0h2-2--|----2---0h2-2--|----2---0h2-2--|
A|0--------------|0--------------|0--------------|0--------------|
E|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------|
  T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i

Right hand fingerpicking: T = thumb, i = index. Tina uses a thumb pick which
accentuates the bass notes nicely.

When the chord has an asterisk (*), switch to this pattern:

Am*
e|---------------|---------------|
B|---------------|---------------|
G|------2-------2|------2-------2|
D|----2-------2--|----2-------2--|
A|0-------0------|0-------0------|
E|---------------|---------------|
  T T i T T i T T i T T i

For the Am/F** in the first chorus, just pluck the 6th string once and let it ring.

[Intro]
 Am

[Verse 1]
           Am
There are faces, there are smiles, so many teeth, too many arms and legs
                                    Am/G
And eyes and flashing buttons all around me
     Am
I'm watching, I'm breathing, I'm pushing, I'm wishing
                                                Am/G
That these walls would not be talking quite so loudly
        Am/F Am/G
I have burnt down once before, I've pulled myself up from the floor
          Am/F Am/G
And I am looking for a reason to stay standing
         Am
But sometimes it's just too much, it's not enough, it's something else
                                              Am/G
It's so much bigger than my head, it's too demanding

[Chorus]
 Am/F Am/G Am
Sometimes the fastest way to get there is to go slow
     Am/F Am/G Am
And sometimes when you wanna hold on you got to let go
          Am/G* Am* Am/G* Am/F* Am
I'm gonna close my eyes, and count to ten
          Am/G* Am* Am/G* Am/F* Am/E*
I'm gonna close my eyes, and when I open them again
Am/G* Am/F** Am
Everything will make sense to me then

[Verse 2]
        Am
I have met so many people, we've exchanged so many words
                                                   Am/G
We've said it all and we've said nothing but it's changed us
        Am
I have known a lot of men, some were lovers, some were friends
                                           Am/G
But all together were they merely passing strangers?
            Am/F Am/G
They'll control you with their silence, they'll control you with their words
               Am/F Am/G
And you'll control them with your body's coded signals
        Am
In the wild, entangled gardens of our insecurities
                                            Am/G
We lose our heads into each other's hidden pitfalls

[Chorus]
 Am/F Am/G Am
Sometimes the fastest way to get there is to go slow
     Am/F Am/G Am
And sometimes when you wanna hold on you got to let go
          Am/G* Am* Am/G* Am/F* Am
I'm gonna close my eyes, and count to ten
          Am/G* Am* Am/G* Am/F* Am/E*
I'm gonna close my eyes, and when I open them again
Am/G* Am/F* Am/F Am/G Am Am
Everything will make sense to me then

[Bridge]

Am/F Am/G Am Am
Am/F Am/G Am Am

[Chorus]
 Am/F Am/G Am
Sometimes the fastest way to get there is to go slow
     Am/F Am/G Am
And sometimes when you wanna hold on you got to let go
          Am/G* Am* Am/G* Am/F* Am
I'm gonna close my eyes, and count to ten
          Am/G* Am* Am/G* Am/F* Am/E*
I'm gonna close my eyes, and when I open them again

For "Everything will make sense to me then" it is not "Am/F* Am/G* Am" but "Am/G* Am/F* Am" and to the bridge it is "Am/F* Am/G* Am Am/G Am".

In addition I think she plays "T T i" not "T i m". But that doesn´t matter maybe.

Sorry, mistake, for the bridge it is of course "Am/G* Am/F* Am Am/G Am" as well.

It looks as though she does play it as T T i not T i m, but she plays with a thumb pick which may make 4 picks of the thum that quickly easier. With no picks I find T i m easier as in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J63fOhD9UQ
Maybe I just need to practice it more.
