I checked out the other tab for this song but I'm pretty sure that
they aren't right. This sounds really good when you play it with
any version, even the ones with John Mayer.

Chords:(relative to capo4)

B--3--3--2----2(slide to 3)---3----3----0---0----0-|

(C and G are actually called Cadd9 and Gadd9
durring the verses but for space I used C and G.)

Capo four
Try sliding and hammering up and down patterns for A G and D
and they all sound really cool.

               G C G A G C G
We spotted the ocean at the head of the trail
A G C G D Aslide
where are we going, so far away?
             G C G A G C G
Now somebody told me that this is the place
        A G C G D A slide
Where everything's better, and everything's safe

G1 G1,G2,G3 D D2 D A
Walk on the ocean Step on the stones
G1 G1,G2,G3 D D2 D A
Flesh becomes water Wood becomes bone

(Same as above for all the rest)

Half an hour later we packed up our things

Said we'd send letters, and all of those little things

And they knew we were lying, but they smiled just the same

It seemed they'd already forgotten we came

same as above

same as chorus

Back at the homestead, where the air makes you choke

And people don't know you and trust is a joke

We don't even have pictures, just memories to hold

That grow sweeter each season as we slowly grow old

"The greatest friends aren't the ones that just know how to make you
happy... The greatest friends know how to hurt you more than you would
ever dream but they would never do that to you."--Me

You're right that thats a Cadd9, But the G is a straight up G Major Chord

I think i like the tabber's choice here though, because it differentiates the verse from the chorus a bit more.

G1, 2 and 3 doesnt sound right at all in my opinion. Any suggestions?
