C
Some days are diamonds
Am
Some days are rocks
F
Some doors are open
G
Some roads are blocked

C
Sundowns are golden
Am
Then fade away
F
If I never do nothing
G
I'll get you back some day

CHORUS:
                F C
Cause you got a heart so big
         F C
It could crush this town
            D Am
And I can't hold out forever
G C
Even walls fall down

C
And all around your island
Am
There's a barricade
F
It keeps out the danger
G
It holds in the pain

C
Sometimes you're happy
Am
Sometimes you cry
F
Half of me is ocean
G
Half of me is sky

CHORUS

C
And some things are over
Am
Some things go on
F
And part of me you carry
G
Part of me is gone

CHORUS (2x)

G C
They fall down

I think it should be D minor instead of D.
Otherwise, awesome tab! :)

Dear Netdog63: Great tab! I believe the studio version is in the Key of F which is an easy transpose. Thanks for tabbing a great but not super famous Tom Petty song.

Love this one in C. Not the same as the recording, but this one I can play with my C harp. Great way to spice it up and do it justice as a solo act.
