well done! it sounds great. the droning background i think is a guitar with only one string, the D, being bowed, like with a violin bow. it starts on
D-15-|
and every so often he does a slight quarter step bend.

then when it jumps higher, it goes to
D-22-21-20~~~~~~22-21-20~~~~~~|
with a constant tremolo bend.

that's what i think it is.

Did you mean to write the tuning as DADBGe and not DADGBe like standard drop d tuning?

The droning sound is created by Justin standing close to his amplifier creating an un-natural feedback sound....not sure which strings but I saw them live and for this part he walked over and stood right by his stack.
