While the simplicity of the chords and where they change I agree with, I clearly hear this song as Em(7) to F#m7. I tried it playing the Em (adding the m7 if you like) as a barre chord on the 7th fret followed by the F#m7 played straight across the 2nd fret and it sounds good.
