[Intro]

G Em C D

[Verse]
G Am
He was sitting' there, his brush in hand
D G
Painting' waves as they danced, upon the sand
G Am
With every stroke, he brought to life
D G
The deep blue of the ocean, against the morning' sky
Am D
I asked him if he only painted ocean scenes
Am D
He said for twenty dollars, I'll paint you anything

[Chorus]
                        G
Could you Paint Me A BirminghAm
                        Em
Make it look just the way I planned
                        Am
A little house on the edge of town
                        D
Porch going' all the way around
                        G
Put her there in the front yard swing
                        Em
Cotton dress make it, early spring
                        Am
For a while she'll be, mine again
D G
If you can Paint Me A BirminghAm

G Em C D

[Verse]

G Am
He looked at me, with knowing eyes
D G
Then took a canvas from a bag there by his side
G Am
Picked up a brush, and said to me
D G
Son just where in this picture would you like to be
Am D
And I said if there's any way you can
Am D
Could you paint me back into her arms again?

[Chorus]

                        G
Could you Paint Me A BirminghAm
                        Em
Make it look just the way I planned
                        Am
A little house on the edge of town
                        D
Porch going' all the way around
                        G
Put her there in the front yard swing
                        Em
Cotton dress make it, early spring
                        Am
For a while she'll be, mine again
D G
If you can Paint Me A BirminghAm

G Em C D

[Chorus]

                        G
Could you Paint Me A BirminghAm
                        Em
Make it look just the way I planned
                        Am
A little house on the edge of town
                        D
Porch going' all the way around
                        G
Put her there in the front yard swing
                        Em
Cotton dress make it, early spring
                        Am
For a while she'll be, mine again
D G
If you can Paint Me A BirminghAm

I played it earlier. Great song. Only thing is that the song transposes to A in the very last chords. So, if ya know what the transpose chords are, that be great.
