Glowing Eyes CAPO 1

Other versions on here are close, but I think this is cleaned up and spot on.
Strumming is very subjective on this one. I don't hear a guitar in the recording. Doing a 2-4 strum reggae
style sounds pretty good, just for an idea.

[Intro]
D G Bm A G A (x2)

[Verse 1]
D
We all are stranger creatures
G Bm
Then when we all started out as kids...
             A A/B A/C#
Culture forbids.
D
We have romantic fantasies
G Bm
About what dying truly is
                 A A/B A/C#
To fall off the grid.

[Pre-Chorus]
G D/F# Em A C#dim D
We live for the night's decor
   Bb A D A
It reveals what we dream of.

[Chorus]
D
I know there's someone at the door
G
They call for help, of this I'm sure,
Bm A G A
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes?
D
I'm holding onto what I know
G
And what I know, I must let go,
Bm A G
But I would rather play a song
                  A
for the eyes to sing along.
D G Bm A G A
For the eyes to sing along.

[Interlude 1]
 D G Bm A

[VERSE 2]
D G
We all know somebody who knows somebody who's doing great.
Bm
I know some people who know
A A/B A/C#
people who are flying straight,
D G
But I'll kindly enter into rooms of depression,
Bm A A/B A/C#
While ceiling fans and idle hands will take my life again.

[Pre-Chorus]
G D/F# Em A C#dim D
We live for the night's decor
     Bb A D A
It reveals what we dream of.

[Chorus]
D
I know there's someone at the door
G
They call for help, of this I'm sure,
Bm A G N.C.
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes?
D
I'm holding onto what I know
G
And what I know, I must let go,
Bm A G
But I would rather play a song
                 A
for the eyes to sing along.

[Bridge]
Bm A G D Bm A G D
This room is far too dark for us to stay around.
  Bm A G D Bm A G D
Redemption's not that far, and darkness is going down.
Bm A G D Bm A G D
This room is far too dark for us to stay around.
  Bm A G D Bm A G D
Redemption's not that far, and darkness is going down.

[Interlude 2]
D G Bm A G N.C.

[Ending]
D
I'm holding onto what I know
G
And what I know, I must let go,
Bm A G
But I would rather play a song
                  A
for the eyes to sing along.
D G Bm A
For the eyes to sing along.
G A D
   Make them stop
            G
Make them stop
            Bm A
Make them stop
            G
Make them stop
A N.C.
Make them stop
