Chords: Am C Dm7 E7
repeat throughout

Verse 1:
Am C Dm7 E7
We're dancing free but we're stuck here underground

And everybody trying to figure they way out
Am C Dm7 E7
Hey hey hey, all we ever wanted to say

Was chased erased and then thrown away
Am C Dm7 E7
And day to day we live in a daze

We march all around til' the sun goes down night children

Broken dreams, no sunshine, endless crimes, we long for freedom (for freedom)

You're free but in your mind, your freedom's in a bind

Am C
Oh make it rain, ain't a thang and the sky to fall
 Dm7 E7
(the silver bullet's in your hand and the war's heating up)
Am C
And when the truth goes bang the shouts splatter out
Dm7 E7
(revolutionize your lives and find a way out)
Am C
And when you're growing down instead of growing up
Dm7 E7
(you gotta ooo ah ah like a panther)
Am C Dm7 E7
Tell me are you bold enough to reach for love?
Am C
(na na na...)

                 Dm7 E7
He lived in sector 10,
                                    Am C
He had a friend named Benjamin
                                Dm7 E7
Sail away, sail away, Susan

2nd verse:
Am C
So strong for so long
Dm7 E7
All i wanna do is sing my simple song
Am C
Square or round, rich or poor
Dm7 E7
At the end of day and night all we want is more
Am C Dm7 E7
I keep my feet on solid ground and use my wings when storms come around
Am C Dm7 E7
I keep my feet on solid ground for freedom
Am C Dm7 E7
You're free but in your mind, your freedom's in a bind

Great chords, very minor quibble is that some of the time the words don't link to how the chords are written but when you know the song well enough (and it's awesome, so everyone should know it IMHO!) you can just feel the rhythm, great work and thanks :D

Janelle Monáe can really create a truly awesome song from a simple chord progression like this. Spectacular! XD
