(acoustic arrangement)
Capo 3rd

A = x02220    Amaj7 = x02120    A7 = x02020

Intro  A      |Amaj7    |A7     |D       ||

Verse 1
                 A             Amaj7
You know I'm a dreamer but my heart's of gold
          A7                 D
I had to run away high so I wouldn't come home low
            A                                   Amaj7
Just when things went right doesn't mean they're always wrong
                A7                         D
Just take this song and you'll never feel left all alone
                 A                     Amaj7
Take me to your heart, feel me in your bones
               A7                            D
Just one more night and I'm comin' off this long and winding road

Chorus
           F              G
I'm on my way, I'm on my way

Home sweet home

Verse 2
                    A              Amaj7
You know that I've seen too many romantic dreams
       A7                      D
Up in lights, fallin' off the silver screen
                   A                       Amaj7
My heart's like an open book for the whole world to read

Sometimes nothing keeps me together at the seams

well FIRST of all i'm replying in the CORRECT key i.e. the key the song is pitched in based on A-440, into a CHART, not a tab? this is supposedly a CHORD chart not tablature, the site makes a differentiation of that quite discreetly. If you want to post a tab, post a tab but again, maybe with the correct voicings of the correct chords? just a thought.

so,
first, i figured you'd understand that I'm talking about the piano voicing structure ( i tell you clearly.. ACTUAL piano chords, etc etc)
transpose this from your capo position (up 3 - 1/2 steps, you understand that there are no CAPOS on a piano, the instrument most accurately used for charts that involved Piano parts , not TABS) and you can then find what i'm referring to. A guitar player playing along to THIS intro should be striving to replicate the CHORD being played? yes?

in my reply.. UG messes up some very basic symbols, how this site formats 'ellipses' seems to be with a '?' because it doesn't' understand basic QUERTY symbols. this is the exact reason i don't publish charts here, because it takes days to format it so that the correct chords appear over the correct lyric, (if they accepted .pdf files, they'd have access to over 1200 VERY accurate charts from me as i do believe in helping whenever possible to make this site useful for the OTHER live performers and musicians who do have good ear training to find a chart when looking for a resource they can trust, UG is simply one of the worst because of this insane star system that is NOT checked by them for accurately, they rely on others to do that, and THAT'S what i'm doing, like it or not.) you have every right to your opinion, but it's not opinion i need when hunting for a song at a paying gig.

as far as 'your' ARRANGEMENT (again, not the correct musical term for what you're attempting here) wrong chords are wrong chords in any key you want to put this into. So, if you're trying to cop what Crue recorded, I'm giving you the RIGHT chords and everyone can take it or leave it, capo it up, down, all around, who cares: wrong is wrong (the MATH part of music) , you can learn something and play it so you can emulate the vibe of the song properly (the ART part of music) or argue with yourself over it. thanks K.R-S
