/ Björk / I think this song is about this very self-destructive
/ Hyper-Ballad / girl who has to deal with lots of problems in her life.
/ Post / She plays with the thought of committing suicide, and the
/________________/ only thing that keeps her safe (from herself) is her boy
friend, quite sad, but it always me in a calm, happy mood.

hmmm. I thought she was unhappy about her life on the mountain with the dude, so she goes through all that before he wakes up to put it into perspective for herself. But you know, people interpret songs differently.

The longest term relationship we have is with ourselves. She is literally imagining the scenario of leaving herself (suicide).. We have to come to terms with ourselves to be in a relationship and to be present. For some it is more of a battle than others.

The mountain is a metaphor for long term relationships. Each day she has to do something to remind herself of why she safe and happy in the relationship, knowing full well she has the ability to leave but chooses to stay.
