i learned the other versions on this website and was happy, until i realized that the
actually changes subtely, so i worked that out and here it is. i have to thank the other
that helped me work it out aswell, i would be nowhere without them as this is merely and
evolution of thier hard work.
oh yeah, bung a capo on the first fret and everything is relative to...well you get the idea.

this bit is for the introduction....

e -------------------------------       e ----------------------------|
b -------------------------------       b ---------0------------------|
f#----------------3-----------3--       f#---------0---0--------------|
d --------0--(0)--------0--(0)---       d -------4---4----------4-----|
a ----4h5---5-------4h5---5-----0       a -2---2----------0h2-2---0---|
D -0-----------------------------  x2   D --------------------------4-|

e ------------------------------|
b ------------------------------|
f#---------0----------------0---|
d -------0-----0------0---0-----|
a -----5-----5----4h5---5-----0-|
D -5----------------------------|

then for when he starts singing during the verses, this wildly different part

e -------------------------------       e ----------------------------|
b -------------------------------       b ---------0------------------|
f#----------3-----------------3--       f#---------0---0--------------|
d --------0------0------0--(0)---       d -------4---4----------4-----|
a ----4h5-----4-----4h5---5----0-       a -2---2----------0h2-2---0---|
D -0-----------------------------  x2   D --------------------------4-|

d ------------------------------|
b ------------------------------|
f#---------0----------------0---|
d -------0-----0------0---0-----|
a -----5-----5----4h5---5-----0-|
D -5----------------------------|

and then between the little bit between the verse and chorus do the...:
e ---------------|
b ---------------|
f#-----------0---|
d -----0---0-----|
a -4h5---5-----0-|
D ---------------| ....bit twice, and put a bit of feeling in
                                       there.

as for the chorus he likes to switch a bit...

e -------------------------------|
b -------------------------------|
f#----------3-----------------3--|
d --------0------0------0--(0)---|
a ----4h5-----4-----4h5---5----0-|
D -0-----------------------------|
                   and as he sings "leaaaaaaaaan oooooon", it goes to the
                   other way and continues as normal.

e -------------------------------       e ----------------------------|
b -------------------------------       b ---------0------------------|
f#----------------3-----------3--       f#---------0---0--------------|
d --------0--(0)--------0--(0)---       d -------4---4----------4-----|
a ----4h5---5-------4h5---5-----0       a -2---2----------0h2-2---0---|
D -0-----------------------------  x2   D --------------------------4-|

e ------------------------------|
b ------------------------------|
f#---------0----------------0---|
d -------0-----0------0---0-----|
a -----5-----5----4h5---5-----0-|
D -5----------------------------|

then for the little interlude bit when he goes on about angels and wolf teeth...

e ---------------          e ---------------|
b ---------------          b ---------------|
f#---------0-----          f#---------0-----|
d -------0-----0-          d -------0-----0-|
a -----7-----7---          a -----5-----5---|
D -7------------- x4       D -5-------------| x4

e ------------------------------::----------------::
b ------------------------------::----------------::
f#---------0---------------0----::---------0------::
d -------0-----0---------7-----0::-------0-----0--::
a -----7-----7---------7-----7--::-----7-----7----::
D -7---------------7------------::-7--------------:: (bits within the dots x2)

e ------------------------0-----|
b ---------0--------------0-----|
f#-------0-----0--------0-----0-|
d -----4-----4--------4-----4---|
a -2--------------2-------------|
d ------------------------------|

e -------------------------|
b ---------0-----------0---|
f#-------0-----0---3-0-----|
d -----4-----4-------------|
a -2--------------2-2-2--0-|
d -------------------------|

well there it is, and you may have to listen to the song for timing, it can be tricky. Now go play...
