Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
i kno that it says it's in standard tuning and i lied...it's a whole step
down...so sorry for the mix up. i've been seeing alot of tabs and online covers
using a capo and i think they are good but not correct...and seeing as that ADTR
plays in Drop C tunings...it makes sense that they play a whole step down...so
this is my cover. use it if you like.

Intro: F C G

Verse 1

Am C G Am
Hey darling, I hope you're good tonight

        C G
And I know you don't feel right when I'm leaving

Am
Yeah, I want it but no, I don't need it

C G Am
Tell me something sweet to get me by

 C G
'Cause I can't come back home 'til they're singin'

Pre Chorus

F(pm) G(pm) Am(pm)
La, la la la, la la la
     G
'Til everyone is singin'

Chorus

C G
If you can wait 'til I get home

       Am F
Then I swear to you that we can make this last (La la la)

C G
If you can wait 'til I get home

       Am F
Then I swear come tomorrow, this will all be in our past

C G
It might be for the best

(Intro Riff Again)

(Same as Verse 1)
Hey sweetie, I need you here tonight
And I know that you don't wanna be leaving
Yeah, you want it but I can't help it
I just feel complete when you're by my side
But I know you can't come home 'til they're singin'

F G Am
La, la la la, la la la

     C
'Til everyone is singin'

F G C
La, la la la, la la la

Chorus (Repeat)
If you can wait 'til I get home
Then I swear to you that we can make this last
(La la la)
If you can wait 'til I get home
Then I swear come tomorrow, this will all be in our past
It might be for the best

  F C
You know you can't give me what I need

                         Am
And even though you mean so much to me

                        G
I can wait through everything

Is this really happening?

(Palm mute)
   F C
I swear I'll never be happy again

                              Am
And don't you dare say we can just be friends

                              G
I'm not some boy that you can sway

We knew it'd happen eventually

Electric guitar

F G A
La, la la la, la la la
C
Now everybody's singin'

Now everybody's singin'

Now everybody's singin'

its great other than the chords at the end - its still an Am not an A major as you're implying (although the electric guitars are playing an A5 power chord - A-E-A-x-x-x- with no third note - but still any 3rd note would be a minor not a major
