Abba – Waterloo

[intro]

D x4

[Verse]

D E/D A/C# G/B A
My, my, at Waterloo Napoleon did surrender
   D E/D A/C# G/B D/A A Bm
Oh yeah, and I have met my destiny in quite a similar way

The history book on the shelf
A E/G# A G D/F# A/E
Is always repeating itself

[Chorus]

D G
Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
A D A A
Waterloo - Promise to love you for ever more
D G
Waterloo - Couldn't escape if I wanted to
A D
Waterloo - Knowing my fate is to be with you
A D D D D D
Waterloo - Finally facing my Waterloo

[Verse]

    D E/D A/C# G/B A
My, my, I tried to hold you back but you were stronger
   D E/D A/C# G/B D/A A Bm
Oh yeah, and now it seems my only chance is giving up the fight

And how could I ever refuse
A E/G# A G D/F# A/E
I feel like I win when I lose

[Chorus]

D G
Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
A D A A
Waterloo - Promise to love you for ever more
D G
Waterloo - Couldn't escape if I wanted to
A D
Waterloo - Knowing my fate is to be with you
A D D D D D

ver1 with the Swedish lyrics and this one are very good and cannot really be improved uopn. Why the other tabs are still up and new suggestions are being made remains a mystery to me. Maybe some people don't know what is meant by the chord symbols. So perhaps this might be helpful:

------------------------------------------------------------
CHORDS

e-B-G-D-A-E
E/D 0-0-1-0-x-x
A/C# 0-2-2-2-4-x
G/B 3-3-0-0-2-x
D/A 2-3-2-0-0-x
E/G# 0-0-1-2-x-4
D/F# 2-3-2-0-x-2
A/E 0-2-2-2-0-0

Perhaps these versions were kept because the song works better on a keyboard than guitar?
