Did you listen to a recording or even try and play what you actually wrote? The intro is pretty clearly played with a pick, not tapping, despite what you might think you've seen in a dramatized music video. Also the very first bar that you wrote as being played 8 times is a 5 note phrase that doesn't fit the meter of the song. The actual phrase starts on an Eb but has a 16th note pickup on the open B. The pickup is played one time only.
