FOR PIANO: Play the chord in a 1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2 rhythm.
Example: Chord A play as: A-C#-E-C#-A-C#-E-C#
Play the chords E, F#m in first inversion.
Play the chords D and C#m in second inversion KEEP THAT IN MIND it's also easier to play.

NOTE: You need to use the inversion, it sounds way better.

closest one in here for sure, not worth commenting on any of the others as the comments suggest they're looking for 'easy' not accurate. I'm a piano player and have played this song for quite a while now live. i get the issues with transcribing this for guitar, but the chords are the chords and musically this song is very powerful when the music is right. so, take this the right way, it's not entirely correct: some issues for accuracy: the intro is A | C#m/G# | F#5 NO 3! | D (you'd never list Ab in this context, it's in A, a Sharp key and the 7th degree is not an accidental here) (the F# chord in the verse has NO 3 at all , it's suggests strongly a minor tonality, but the 'a' is most definitely NOT in the piano arps. ) the words at the end of the verse are 'or hide from the light' -the 'pre chorus' (not technically a bridge as this song has an actual bridge) is Eadd9 to F#m7 (very prominent 'E' in this F# chord) the F#m7 is the F# chord in this section - the chord on 'ov-' is E/D back to D for the '-ver' part, it makes the cadence here, creates the tension and resolves to the tonic strongly right after, nice musical choice. the 'BRIDGE' arps suggest E/B to A/C# to D for the 'nothing compares' then for the 'bitter sweet' section: Bm to A/C# to D to E/D simple bass line walk up with root pos. arpegs for this rubato passage, mirroring the cadence from the other sections previously listed the quiet chorus chords on whole notes: A, E/G#, F#m, D first two cycles, 'falling' bass line this way for drama, then A, E, F#m, D then once more like the first two cycles, and the end has that E/D combo again at the end of the last line ending on an 'A' which you don't list. hope this helps.

I'm on ukulele and transpose it to match other peoples' ranges, but this is the version that works best for me in all keys I've tried, with the arpeggio possible in each of them too which the other tabs haven't managed for me (though none of them are made for ukulele, the fact it can be used on another instrument is very nice). Thank you!
