During the verse, instead of playing -x--x-- try -x-x-x-x- instead. -x--x-- -x-x-x-x- -7--8-- -7-7-9-9- -x--x-- -x-x-x-x- -5--5-- -5-5-5-5- -x--x-- -x-x-x-x- Personally, when played to music, out sounds more accurate.

You have the intro starting on the D on the low E, that is where the D should be played for the verse. 12 14 and for the A, 7 9 it's a whole 10 10 5 9 step. In blues you may hit the half step walking to the next note but to leave it there sounds wrong.
