This is for all the Aimee Mann fans out there.....
Saw the video of her singing Labrador at the Bing lounge and found her lyrics to
be deep, meaningful and out of the ordinary. Love you Aimee Mann!

Here goes.....

CAPO 3rd fret

INTRO C G D (x 2)

TIME SIGNATURE - 4/4

RHYTHYM PATTERN - 4 DOWNSTROKES FOR CHORDS C Em AND G
                  8 DOWNSTROKES FOR CHORD D
VERSE 1
   C G
Daisy, you
          C G
Shouldn't do the things you do
           Em G C G
But you're just so incapable of changing
    C G
You lie so well
        C G
I could never even tell
          Em G C G
What were facts in your artful rearranging

CHORUS

           C G D
But I came back for more
        C G D
And you laughed in my face and you rubbed it in
            C G D
Cause I'm a Labrador
      C
And I run
         G
When the gun
          D
Drops the dove again

VERSE 2 (FOLLOW VERSE 1)
When we first met
I was glad to be your pet
Like a Lab I once had that we call Maisie
But fetching sticks
Was the best I had for tricks
You got bored
You got mad then you got crazy

CHORUS
But I came back for more
And you laughed in my face and you rubbed it in
Cause I'm a Labrador
And I run
When the gun
Drops the dove again

C G D
Daisy, daisy, give me your answer
C G D
Daisy, daisy, do,
C G D
Remember good old Maisie how she waited at the
            C G D
Stairs for you

VERSE 3 (FOLLOW VERSE 1)
Daisy, dear
I could almost she'd a tear
But let's shine in the time we have remaining
You're a tough old gal
But a dog is just a pal
And believe me, my dear,
I'm not complaining

CHORUS
             C G D
Cause I came back for more
        C G
Cause I knew even you
        D
Did the best you could
          C G D
And I'm a Labrador
         C G
And with me, you could see
       D
It was understood
              C G D
That I'd come back for more
            C G D
Cause I'm a Labrador
          C G D
The loyal Labrador

Pretty sure a gm would work better than a cm. Just a suggestion.

I agree! I was just reviewing my tabs, and Em with the Capo on does sound a whole lot better than Am. Thanks mattybou92
