Hands on a Grain of Sand
by Amelia Curran

This isn't quite complete.
There are a few chords missing that
I can not quite nail down, but it is playable as written,
and I believe this is more accurate than the existing
version that is floating around right now.

Capo 6

Intro: Em, G, C

Em G C
Hounds are broodin' in my bones
  C G
But I'm a good dog runnin' halfway home
D C
Hear the lonely promenade
        G D
Come to nurse the tender terrways

CHORUS:
Em G C
All hands on a grain of sand
     G D
Half smallest things are the high demand
D C
I can only serenade
    G Em
And wait my turn to burn or fade

Em,G,C

Em G C
All the colours you can see
 C G
Cover the borders of a masterpiece
D C
Time can paint the best of me
         G D
Over the unclear eyes of memory

CHORUS
Em,G,C

D C
Cover love from sympathy
G D
Be my maker, set me free
Am C
Truer hearts could not contain
      G D
How I cover love but I have not changed

Em G C
If I had the past undone
       C G
Then I would give my heart to everyone
D C
Hounds are turnin', doves have flown
 C G D
But I am a good dog runnin' halfway home

CHORUS
Outro: Em, G, C

Thank you for laying out the guidelines for this song! I heard it off a Pandora station and instantly loved it.

After listening/watching to her "Fog Bus" video on Youtube, I heard some notes (chords) played that were not included in this tab.

*Note: I do not have all the Chords(Bass notes) she is playing(hitting), but here are some 'additions' to this already [near]complete tab:

( ) = Bass Note to be hit with *thumb

Capo 6

Intro: Em, G, C

Em (F#) G C
Hounds are broodin' in my bones
C Am Em7 C G
But I'm a good dog runnin' halfway home
D (A) (D) C (G) (C) (G)
Hear the lonely promenade
G D (A) (D) (A)
Come to nurse the tender terrways

CHORUS:
Em (F#) G C
All hands on a grain of sand
G (B) (G) D (A) (D) (A)
Half smallest things are the high demand
Am (B) C (G) (C)
I can only serenade
G (B) (G) Em
And wait my turn to burn or fade

Em,G,C

And so on... The rest of the song follows the same progression of chords through Verse & Chorus.

There are multiple Hammer-Ons (mostly on the A string), listen to the track to find proper locations.

Hope this helps get closer to the original recording :)

Not sure why the comment above moved the position of the Chords(Notes) above the lyrics [I tried to keep the right Chord(Note) played above the corresponding lyric], but it messed up the actual placement, so use the 'main tab' on this page to see actual Chord(Note) placement.
