[Intro]

Dsus4 D5
Gmaj7 Cmaj7 Gmaj7 Cmaj7

[Verse 1]

Gmaj7 Cmaj7
Sometimes late when things are real
                     Gmaj7
And people share the gift of gab
            Cmaj7
Between themselves
Gmaj7 Cmaj7
Some are quick to take the bait
                      Gmaj7
And catch the perfect prize
                      Cmaj7
That waits among the shells

[Chorus]

    Em7 Gmaj7
But Oz never did give nothing to the tin man
        Em7 Gmaj7
That he didn't, didn't already have
     Em7 Gmaj7
And 'cause never was the reason for the evening
       Em7 Gmaj7
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad

   Dsus4 D5
So please believe in me

[Verse 2]

       Gmaj7
When I say I'm spinning round, round, round, round
Cmaj7
Smoke glass stain'd bright colors
Gmaj7
Image going down, down, down, down
Cmaj7
Soapsud green like bubbles
Gmaj7 Cmaj7 Gmaj7 Cmaj7
Oh--------------------------

[Chorus]

    Em7 Gmaj7
Oh, Oz never did give nothing to the tin man
        Em7 Gmaj7
That he didn't, didn't already have
     Em7 Gmaj7
And 'cause never was the reason for the evening
       Em7 Gmaj7
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad

   Dsus4 D5
So please believe in me

[Verse 2]

       Gmaj7
When I say I'm spinning round, round, round, round
Cmaj7
Smoke glass stain'd bright colors
Gmaj7
Image going down, down, down, down
Cmaj7
Soapsud green like bubbles
Gmaj7 Cmaj7 Gmaj7 Cmaj7
Oh--------------------------

[Chorus]

    Em7 Gmaj7
No, Oz never did give nothing to the tin man
        Em7 Gmaj7
That he didn't, didn't already have
     Em7 Gmaj7
And 'cause never was the reason for the evening
       Em7 Gmaj7
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad

   Dsus4 D5
So please believe in me

For some reason my attempt to post a correct cord set for this song was rejected, which is weird because every single version of this song up here is clearly wrong. For the record, correct chords are as follows: Intro: D7sus4 (xx0213) D7 (xx0575) Verse: Gmaj7 (xx5432) Cmaj7 (x35453) Chorus: Am9 (575557) Bm7 (797777)

It's hard to believe but no one has posted the correct chords in any of the versions. They are ALL wrong.

In the chorus, try Em7 like this: XX10987. This allows you to easily switch up to Gmaj7 XX5432 and down again. Gmaj7 in the verses sounds also good when played 3X443X. Tell me what you think.
