Verse 1:
          D
Well it's been almost
Bm F#m
a year to the moment
A D
When I finally
  Bm F#m
rea--lized it was over
A D
And I knew that love
Bm F#m
wasn't good enough
A D Bm
Of a reason for me to
 F#m A D
stay Well I saw you
   Bm F#m
yesterday you were driving
A D Bm F#m
And I tried so hard to forget
               A D
You were alive and as you
          Bm F#m
passed by I began to cry
A D Bm F#m A
Over things that I did not say

    E
And hide underneath my

to Awakening me yeah yeah

        D Bm

A D Bm
And I force your insults
F#m
under the table
A D
And if you were wise
Bm F#m
you would compromise
A D Bm F#m A
And allow me to live my way
      D Bm F#m
Cause I am not a force
               A
to be reckoned with
    D Bm F#m
And you don't have a clue
                    A
what you're messing with
    D Bm
And you can't see to

the best in me Cause it's
D Bm F#m A
more than your heart can take

   D F#m
to Awakening me
I'm awakening me

And love's something
                Bm
that I wouldn't wanna
F#m A D
live without So I'm taking
         Bm F#m
my heart and I'm getting me

song to me And the edge of

your sword isn't sharp

This is written for standard tuning but if you put a capo on the second fret and transpose down 2 then you get a much easier chord progression.
