The intro is all on fret 1. You bend a half step up on it.

I think the opening bend is on an open E with the whammy bar being used to bend it; that makes the main riff on E (0-0-2-0-3-0-5-3) work. If you don't have a whammy bar and want to bend on F (1 on the low E), you have to transpose the main riff to: 1-1-3-1-4-1-6-4, which is a long reach.
