Moon River played by Audrey Hepburn (film version)
from Breakfast at Tiffany's

I noticed there weren't any versions of this song on here that stick to how Audrey Hepburn
plays it in the film, so here it is!

This version is taken from the chord shapes played in the film
I think her guitar is up a semitone so that the F sounds like an F#
Just use a capo on 1 if you want it to sound the same. [edit: different youtube clips are transposed
differently...for some reason. It's likely in F]

[Chords]

(Some chords that Hepburn plays are needlessly positioned where there
are same-note alternatives - so I have just used these - don't worry,
they use the exact same notes but are just easier to play)

F 1-3-3-2-1-1
Dm x-x-0-2-3-1
Bb x-1-3-3-3-1
F/A x-0-3-2-1-1
Em7b5 (0)x-2-3-3-3
A7 x-0-2-0-2-0
F7/C x-3-3-2-4(1)
Eb9 x-6-5-6-6-6
Bm7b5 7-x-7-7-6-x
E7 x-7-6-7-5(0)
Am7 5-7-5-5-5-5
D7 x-5-4-5-3-x
Gm7 3-5-3-3-3-3
C7 x-3-2-3-1-0
Dm/C x-3-x-2-3-1
Dm/B x-2-x-2-3-1 or x-2-3-2-3-x
Bb7 x-1-3-1-3-1

[Strumming/picking pattern]

All chords are played broken up
for example the F/A would be played like this

E|-------1--|
B|-------1--|
G|-------2--|
D|----3-----|
A|-0--------|
E|----------|

[The song]

IGNORE THE CHORDS SHOWN WHEN HOVERING OVER THEM, USE THE ABOVE CHORDS!

Moon River, wider than a mile,

    Bb F/A Em7b5 A7
I'm crossing you in style some day.

    Dm F7/C Bb Eb9
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,

    Dm Bm7b5 E7 Am7 D7 Gm7 C7
wherever you're going I'm going your way.

[Verse 2]
F Dm Bb F/A

        Bb F/A Em7b5 A7

      Dm Dm/C Dm/B Bb7 F/A
We're after the same rainbow's end--

Bb F/A
waiting 'round the bend,

   Bb F/A
my huckleberry friend,

Dm Gm7 C7 Bb F/A Gm7 F

Fine version, good ear! One suggestion for the F7/C: voicing could rather be x-3-3-2-4-x; easier to play and I don't really hear the high E-string there, so why bother playing it? ;)

The prop guitar she "plays" :/

You have to click transpose -1 if you want to use capo 1 and be in the same key as the film.
