"Rock Steady"
by Paul Rodgers
>From the album Bad Co

I saw OLGA had the lyrics for the song but no tab, so I figured I'd type
up what I have. It's a really simple song, actually.

Intro

E------------------------------------------------|
B------------------------------------------------|
G--5--------5--------5---------------5---7p5-----|
D--5--------5--------5---------------5---7p5-----|
A----0-0------0-0------0-0-----3-5-----0---------|
E------------------------------------------------|

The verse is along the same lines. Experiment a little!

E--------------------------------------------|
B--------------------------------------------|
G-------7p5-------7p5-----------5-----7------|
D-------7p5-------7p5-----------5-----7------|
A--0-0-------0-0-------0-0-3-5-----0---------|
E--------------------------------------------|

As far as I know the chorus is just C,D - which I play as barre chords.
I won't bother trying to tab out the picking pattern.

Turn on your [C]light and stay with [D]me a while
And [C]ease your worried [D]mind
Turn on your [C]light and stay with [D]me a while
And Rock Steady!

At the end of the chorus play the 8th fret on the B string and bend it
up 1/2 step.

That's most of the song. Pretty simple but fun, especially if
you're a BC fan.

I find holding my left hand at about the 5th fret, I can hit the 'A' on the 4th string/7th fret....and hit the 'A' of the open 5th string simultaneously . . . ...lay down the index finger across the 5th fret and play/hold just the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd strings . . . and roll smoothly back and forth through the progression! E|------|---------|---------|-------------| B|------|-5-------|-5-------|-------------| G|------|-5-------|-5-------|-----5---7---| D|--7-7-|-5---7-7-|-5---7-7-|-----5---7---| A|--O-O-|-----O-O-|-----O-O-|-5-7---7-----| E|------|---------|---------|-------------| E|------|---------|---------|-------------| B|------|-5-------|-5-------|-------------| G|------|-5-------|-5-------|-----5---7---| D|--7-7-|-5---7-7-|-5---7-7-|-----5---7---| A|--O-O-|-----O-O-|-----O-O-|-5-7---7-----| E|------|---------|---------|-------------| It plays through this progression, with some slight differences . . . but over all, this is the rhythm/strum of the chord progression for "Rock Steady"! The Break is as given by RJD . . . (C) (D) Turn on your Lights, and stay with me awhile, (F) (G) (Am) And ease your worried mind. (C) (D) Turn on your Lights, and stay with me awhile, (F) (G) (Am) And Rock Steady! If you work at this position a bit . . . get the feel of it . . . it might just give you a good grove to fit into for this song!

The tabs pretty much right But I believe if you tried doing the chours like this you'd be happier, Turn on your (C) Lights, and (D) Stay with me awhile, and (F) ease your(G) worried (A) minds. Then it repeats the C-D-F-G-A for the chours.
