Break Your Heart
                                -Barenaked Ladies

       G D
The bravest thing I've ever done
        Am7 D
Was to run away and hide
         G D C D
But not this time, not this time
           G D
And the weakest thing I've ever done
        Am7 D
Was to stay right by your side
            G D C D
Just like this time and every time
     Am C D
I couldn't tell you I was happy you were gone
      C D C D
So I lied and said that I missed you when we were apart
     Am C D
I couldn't tell you so I had to lead you on
        G D G D C D
But I didn't mean to break your heart.

           G D
And if I always seemed distracted,
         Am7 D
Like my mind is somewhere else
         G D C D
That's because it's true, yes it's true
           G D
It's the stupid pride that makes me feel
        Am7 D
Like I have to follow through
             G D C D
Even half-assedly, loving you
 Am D C D
Why must I always speak in terms of cowardice?
When I guess I should have just come out and told
You right from the start
 Am D C D
Why must I always tell you all I want is this?
                  C D G D Am7 D
I guess cause I didn't want to break your heart.

And you said
What'd you think I that I was gonna do?
Curl up and die just because of you?
I'm not that weak, you know
What'd you think that I was gonna do?
Try to make you love me as much as I love you?
How could you be so low?
 G D C D
You arrogant man,
   Em D C D
What do you think that I am?
     Am D
My heart will be fine
     Am D
Just stop wasting my time

        G D
And now I know that you will be okay
            Am7 D
And that I got what I want
            G D
And that's rid of you
  C D
   G D
And its not cause I'll be missing you
       Am7 D
That makes me fall apart
                   G D
It's just that I didn't mean to break
        Am7 D
No, I didn't mean to break
        C D
No, I didn't mean to break
        G D C D
Your heart
        G D C D
Your heart

The first D of every phrase should be a Bm, the first Am should be an Em (I couldn't tell you), the second C of that phrase should be a Am (so I lied), the D directly following should be cut out, the D-Am7-D progression before "and you said" should be cut out completely, so it goes from the G to the Am, the D on "arrogant MAN" should be a Bm (as above), all the chords on "what do you think that I am" should be eliminated, and the C-D at the end of "you arrogant man" should be played over these words, instead of Am-D on "my heart will be fine" it should be Em-C, "just stop wasting my time" should be played over a D, the G on "didn't mean to break" should be a C, and the first D on each of the last two lines should be a Bm, as above.

This comment is harder to follow than the tab. You might as well just write your own tab and post it.
