About this tab version
No chord affectations: a guide for solos, playing acoustic guitar / ukelele etc. A vibrant but gentle harmony for accompanied vocal melodies. Was this info helpful? Yes No
Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
Feel free to add or drop fingers, to flourish. The melody is pretty fluid so you can afford to twiddle a bit.
I do not know how accurate it is comparedto the original but it serves me well.
The chords are positioned as exactly as I was able, to be true to the way I personally sing along, again this
may be an inaccurate representation of the original.

[Verse]
D A G D A G
Learn to lose, its easier that way
D A G Bm A G
Weve paid our dues, but we cant make life pay
Em A D A G
All across the world, people going mad
Em A D A G
In their mothers cars, the kids are feeling sad
      A Asus4 A
Thats how it is, and Ill see you later

[Chorus]
D A G
Everything old is new again
Em7 D/F# A
Everything under the sun
D A G
Now that Im back with you again
   Em A4
We hug and we kiss
   Em A4
We sit and make lists
   Em7 A D Dsus4 D
We drink and I bandage your wrists

[Verse]
D A G D A G
Wasted youth -- there wasnt much to waste
D A G Bm A G
Down to the bone, and still losing weight
Em A D A G
With all the wishing in the world glistening in her eyes
Em A D A G
But when I say I love her, she thinks Im telling lies
      A Asus4 A
Is it all lost? no, we never had it

[Chorus]
D A G
Everything old is new again
Em7 D/F# A
Everything under the sun

All of our fears come true again
  Em A4
Recycle, re-use
  Em A4
Resent and refuse
    Em7 A D Dsus4 D
Our parent's Ideals and views

(The Rhythm here is a little tricky here, I like to do the first 2 chords in a kind of flamenco strum and
switch to a simple, rolling amen break for the last 2, but many strum patterns fit.)

    Em F# Bm G
She thinks the afterlife might just be where the action is
                             F# Bm Em7 A
With high schools built like prisons, she cant find a way to live... ...Woah-oh-oh

[Verse]
D A G D A G
Moved back home to fill the empty nest
D A G Bm A G
Afraid to roam, in love with second best
Em A D A G
While somewhere in the world, shes hosting her own show
Em A D A G
And everyone she questions never seems to know
      A Asus4 A
Who they are and where they are going

[Chorus]
D A G
Everything old is new again
Em7 D/F# A
Everything under the sun
D A G
Now that Im without you again
  Em A4
I wake up and eat
  Em A4
I go back to sleep
    Em7 A D
And let all my nightmares repeat

(Slowly and sadly)
Em A D A G
All across the world, people going mad...

Looking for suggestions, regarding the A Asus4 A section at the end of the verses.

It is the closest chord I can play that sounds appropriate but it does not yet sound perfect. Please advise!
