[Verse 1]
      F C F
when all of your flaws and all of my flaws are laid one by one
F
wonderful part of the mess we made
      C F
we pick ourselves undone
F C F
all of your flaws and all of my flaws, they lie there hand in hand
F
ones we've inherited ones that we learn
     C F
they pass from man to man

          Am C
there's a hole in my soul
         F G
i can't fill it i can't fill it
              Am C
and there's a hole in my soul
        F G
can you fill it? can you fill it?

[Chorus]
C F G Am
you have always worn you flaws upon your sleeve
    C F G C
and i have always buried them deep beneath the ground
          F
dig them out
        C G
let's finish what we started
         F
dig them out
   C G
so nothing's left untouched

[Verse 2]
F C F
all of your flaws and all of my flaws, they may have been exude
F C
we'll see that we need them to be who we are
F
without them we'd be doomed

          Am C
there's a hole in my soul
         F G
i can't fill it i can't fill it
              Am C
and there's a hole in my soul
        F G
can you fill it? can you fill it?

[Chorus]
C F G Am
you have always worn you flaws upon your sleeve
    C F G C
and i have always buried them deep beneath the ground
          F
dig them out
        C G
let's finish what we started
         F
dig them out
   C G
so nothing's left untouched

[Bridge]
      F C
when all of your flaws and all of my flaws are counted X2

C F G Am
you have always worn you flaws upon your sleeve

and i have always buried them deep beneath the ground
          F
dig them out
        C G
let's finish what we started
         F
dig them out
   C G
so nothing's left untouched

I'm just starting out, so I use D,DU,UDU and repeat (D for Down and U for Up) it sounded pretty good for this one :) You've gotta balance tempo and how intensely you're strumming of course, especially with this song. Hope that helps!

I do the same, and I've been playing for a couple years! It's a great strumming pattern for this song
