[Verse 1]

D5 Dmaj7
Treated you like a rusty blade
   D6 D9
A throwaway from an open grave
F Em D5
Cut you loose from a chain gang and let you go

D5 Dmaj7
And on the day you said it's true
 D6 D9
Some love holds, some gets used
F Em D5
Tried to tell you I never knew it could be so sweet

Bb Am
Who could ever be so cruel?
G F C Asus
Blame the devil for the things you do

[Chorus]

D5 Dmaj7
It's such a selfish way to lose
    F Em D5
The way you lose these wasted blues, these wasted blues

                  C Em7 D5
Tell me that it's nobody's fault, nobody's fault but my own
                  C Em7 D5
Tell me that it's nobody's fault, nobody's fault but my own
                  C Em7 D5

                  C Em7 D5
Tell me that it's nobody's fault, nobody's fault but my own

[Verse 2]

D5 Dmaj7
When the moon is a counterfeit
D6 D9
Better find the one that fits
F Em D5
Better find the one that lights the way for you

D5 Dmaj7
When the road is full of nails,
D6 D9
garbage pails and darkened jails
F Em D5
And their tongues are full of heartless tales that drain on you

Bb Am
Who would ever notice you?
G F C Asus
You fade into a shaded room

[Chorus]

D5 Dmaj7
It's such a selfish way to lose
    F Em D5
The way you lose these wasted blues, these wasted blues

                  C Em7 D5

                  C Em7 D5
Tell me that it's nobody's fault, nobody's fault but my own
                  C Em7 D5
Tell me that it's nobody's fault, nobody's fault but my own

I think a D9 (000212) should be played instead of Am7 in the verse, and that the G/b in the chorus is actually a Em7 (222030). In addition, if you want to play the root of the chords when playing G, you can play it this way: 555030.
