Use a E or E7 instead of the Bm on the first part and in similar parts, it sounds a bit off!

Actually, use Dm instead of Bm. So, it goes from the D to a Dm. No Bm in the song. Also during the chorus, try an A5 instead of A. That's a first position A chord except the B sting is open rather than fretted on the 2nd fret.

when playing the song the way ^^myannon^^ suggested how it could sound better, use the D chord (not the D on the fifth fret/the bar chord) instead of the E7...
