I just changed a few things from the version 1 that was pretty good 
(sorry, i copied and pasted then edited - im lazy!). 
The only problem was the c# strings was always left open which made it clash with some chords.
i noticed in a video he uses barre chord shapes and eventually worked out this.

if you actually listen to the song, you'll realise that it supposed to clash...

Yeah, agreed. Nice try here, but if you browse youtube you'll find only versions where he uses the free string (whichever tuning he uses --> differs from time to time). So I prefer your first version, which is really good!
