I dont get this tuning, can someone explain it to me? I want to learn this song, its badass!

best way to tune to a drop b tuning is to play the 2nd fret on the a string and tune the low e till it sounds an octave lower then the 2nd fret a string, thats how i do it,

The tuning is almost like standard but half step down exp. Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb but he takes the -Eb- and drops it all the way down to a Bb and it almost seems like it should be played on a 7 string... Bb Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb..
