Blink 182 - Violence
Tabbed by TJF (TJF@TJFweb.com)
for Electric Guitar
* Notes: This song is so easy to play, but you need a CAPO on the second fret.
You can tell because there are videos of Tom recording this song.
* Notes: Seems like Blink 182's new album isn't going to be full of complicated
riffs after all... This is another song in which the guitar parts are
extremely simple and there is no guitar in the verse.
The twanging instrument in the background of the intro and bridge is
Mark's bass guitar, but I'm sure some people will put it in their
guitar tabs of the same song :P
* Notes: So far I've release the first tab for Feeling This, Go and Violence and
you can expect to see more tabs from me as soon as the new album is out!
*** CAPO ON THE SECOND FRET!!! ***
ALL NOTES ARE RELATIVE TO THE CAPO, I.E. IF YOU HAVE A CAPO, PLAY THESE NOTES
AS IF THE CAPO IS THE TOP OF THE FRETBOARD. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CAPO, ADD 2
TO EACH NOTE YOU SEE BELOW AND PLAY THE INTRO AND CHORUS BY MUTING THE A STRING.

[Lyrics]
[Verse 1]
Six bottles went down the drain
One hour's a waste of time
I'd ask if you feel the same
Still pushing that chance to try
Your breath in this cool room, chill
Long hair that goes side to side
You speak and make time stand still
And each time you walk right on by
[Chorus]
Like violence you have me forever and after
Like violence you've killed me forever and after
[Verse 2]
Can't count all the eyes that stare
Can't count all the things they see
She kills with no life to spare
Just victims we're left to bleed
One drink and the pain goes down
Soft shadows lay by her feet
Lay soft as you slowly drown
Lay still as you fall asleep (Fall asleep...)
[Chorus]
Like violence you have me forever and after
Like violence you've killed me forever and after
Like violence you have me forever and after
Like violence you've killed me forever and after
Like violence you have me forever and after
Like violence you've killed me forever and after

Tom has a capo on his guitar all the time because it's tuned down a whole step. He can take it off to play Adam's Song live, and put it back on for everything else. Just logic.
+1

I think TJF is right with the capo thing.
Tom plays with a capo on the 2nd freet in this video.

Toms guitar is not tuned down a whole step.... its genially cause its to do with the A string sound, TJF is right this is how its played... and the Adam song bit... how come on certain performances where he doesn't play Adam song after in the set there is still a capo on? plus for songs like Down and feeling this you use a capo too... its a trend with this album
