Tabbed By Scott East (scottman14@hotmail.com)
I was watching the new Blue Rodeo Dvd "Blue Rodeo In Sterovision"
one day when I decided to write up the TRUE chords. This is 100%
correct when compared to the DVD.
Heres the Chord Legend
A1 E Bm7 Cm# D A2
0 0 2 4 5 5
2 0 3 5 7 5
2 1 2 6 7 6
2 2 4 6 7 7
0 2 2 4 5 7
0 0 x 4 5 5
The 1 and 2 after the A chords are simply to differentiate between the regular and barr chords.
In the DVD, Jim Cuddy is casually strumming and picking arpeggios of these chords. so
watch the Performance to get it right.
A1 E
Don't tell me I'm wrong
Bm7 A1
Cause I've been watching every move that you make
Cm#
Hearts you steal with your make-up and heels
D A2
Trouble for the men that you take
Chorus:
Cm# D
Every time you walk in the room
Bm7
I couldn't even be sure of a smile
D Cm#
You were never the same way twice
D
But I'm falling in love
Bm7 D
Night after night - oh it's crazy
-
A2 E
So many people who said
Bm7 A1
Girl you've got nothing but time
Cm#
Oh you are a shining star
D A2
Don't you worry about what you're leaving behind
(Chorus)
A2 Cm# Bm7
Oh you got to try try try
A2 Cm# Bm7
Don't you know you've got to try try try
D Bm7
Oh baby you try Ooooh!
A Cm# D A Cm# D
(Over Organ Solo)
(Chorus)
A2 Cm# Bm7
Oh you got to try try try
A2 Cm# Bm7

D Bm7 D Bm7 A1
Oh baby you try Oh try! Ohh!

Not only is the verse wrong, the chorus is wrong, too.
The Bm7 is not only not what they play, it's clearly out of tune with sung melody. The chord there should be F#m.
There are numerous videos of them playing this song where you can see the chords being played.
I strongly doubt that for this one DVD, they changed key chords and therefore the melody, too.

the verse is A - E - D - A, A - C#m - D - A.
