Yes, I am also playing it like this, even though all other suggestions have higher scores. The thing is: when you play the line like this one here, then you almost don't have to change the gesture of your left hand. Also I am pretty sure that sometimes the player in the song jumps from A-4 over E-5 to E-7 to start the first beat of a chorus or verse.
