(This song was originally written by Paul Seibel.
I rated this as intermediate because it really needs a controlled fingerpicking style and the
F#m barre can be tricky to get right, but everything else about the song is easy for a novice.)

They all said Louise was not half bad. It was written on the walls and window shades

Sometimes a bottle of perfume, Flowers, and maybe some lace.

Men brought Louise ten-cent trinkets. Their intentions were easily traced.
VERSE 2

Ahhh, everybody thought it kinda sad When they found Louise in her room.

They'd all put her down below their kind, Still some cried when she died this afternoon.

Louise rode home on the mail train, Somewhere to the South, I heard them say.

Too bad it ended so ugly. Too bad she had to go that way.
OUTRO

Would somebody please do TAB with the fingerpicking pattern? I love the song - but Bonnie does the fingerpicking so darn good!

Thanks CMaster. Doing a Bonnie tribute and it saved me some time. I'll also try it with capo 2 cbhallen, TU. I actually look, sing, and can play like her. She was an inspiration in my youth and I'd been running from the comparison all my life. Time to embrace it. :)

YOu’re wrong. I sounds JUST like Bonnie Raitt when I sing this! Just kidding! More like Homer Simpson. Thank you for a wonderful tab. I have loved this song forever and I am so jealous that you saw her in 1971. Amazing.
