Closer - The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey (Boyce Avenue ft. Sarah Hyland cover)

Tabbed by MaelstromOC

This is a pretty simple cover, so I'm not going to go over strumming rhythms or
muting and such.

[Main rhythm/chords throughout, also strummed and/or muted in parts. Use those ears!
He is playing with fingers, but you can also use a pick or hybrid picking]

[Intro]
e|----------------------|--------------------------|
B|----------------------|--------------------------|
G|----0-----------0-----|-----0-------------0------|
D|----2-----------4-----|-----2-------------4------| x2
A|----3-----------5-----|-----2-------------5------|
E|----3-----------5-----|-----0-------------5------|

[Verse]
e|----------------------|--------------------------|
B|----------------------|--------------------------|
G|----0-----------0-----|-----0-------------0------|
D|----2-----------4-----|-----2-------------4------| x3
A|----3-----------5-----|-----2-------------5------|
E|----3-----------5-----|-----0-------------5------|

e|----------------------|--------------------------|-------------------------|
B|----------------------|--------------------------|-------------------------|
G|-0--------------0-----|-----0--------------------|-------------------------|
D|-2--------------4-----|-----2---------6-p-5------|-------------------------|
A|-3--------------5-----|-----2----------------6---|-6/8---------------------|
E|-3--------------5-----|-----0--------------------|-------------------------|
                                        (optional)

If you want to play the electric
part before "I know it breaks your heart"
You can play it like this
(electric isn't using a capo, so I've moved it up)
Otherwise, the next part begins on the 6-s-8 above after letting
the chord ring through the (optional) section.

[Bridge]
e|----------------------------|----------------------------------------------|
B|----------3----------3------|-----------0-----1-p-0------------------------|
G|-------0--------------------|------------------------0---------------------|
D|----2--------------------5--|--------2-------------------------------------| x4
A|-3--------------4/6---------|-----2----------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------|--0-------------------------------------------|

I'm a little unsure of this as it's hard for me to hear through the layers,
   So an alternative is below.

e|----------------------------|----------------------------------------------|
B|----------3--------------3--|-----------0-----1-p-0------------------------|
G|-------0--------------------|------------------------0---------------------|
D|----2----------------5------|--------2-------------------------------------| x4
A|-3--------------4/6---------|-----2----------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------|--0-------------------------------------------|

It's back to the main rhythm until the chorus and through the chorus. Mix and Match until the song ends.

[Chorus]
e|----------------------|--------------------------|
B|----------------------|--------------------------|
G|----0-----------0-----|-----0-------------0------|
D|----2-----------4-----|-----2-------------4------| x4
A|----3-----------5-----|-----2-------------5------|
E|----3-----------5-----|-----0-------------5------|
  (Strummed differently throughout various choruses)

[Electric Lead played over Chorus if you choose]

e|---------------------|------------------------|
B|-9-11-11-9-9-11-11-9-|-9-11/13-13-9-9-11-11-9-|
G|---------------------|------------------------|
D|---------------------|------------------------|
A|---------------------|------------------------|
E|---------------------|------------------------|

e|---------------------|------------------------|------------------------------|
B|-9-11-11-9-9-11-11-9-|-9-11/13-13-9-9-11-11-9p|-8----------------------------|
G|---------------------|------------------------|---8-8/10---------------------|
D|---------------------|------------------------|------------------------------|
A|---------------------|------------------------|------------------------------|
E|---------------------|------------------------|------------------------------|

Only other main note for the song is that near the end, the acoustic slow strums through the chords rather
than finger plucking the whole chord at once. I've omitted the other electric parts for now. If someone wants
them, I'd be more than glad to add them.
