Tuning: Standard (Capo on 1st fret)

[verse]
    G
The boulevard is bustling
  Em
A vast and wrinkled muslin
   D
Is all over my eyes
                    Em G D
and I know I don't belong

      G
There is a noise inside of me
     Em
That bustles asymmetrically
   D
Oh how am I to balance
                    Em G D
Those sounds into a song?

[chorus]
                       G Gmaj7 G6
It's time to let your hair down
    Gmaj7 Em(2) Em9 Em
and give yourself permission
            G D
it takes courage and control
                         Em G D
but you start by letting go Oh

[verse 2]
    G
The city's an analogy
    Em
For things building inside of me
        D
There's chaos and there's discourse
               Em G D
Still we move along

    G
The chaos sings of symmetry
    Em
and all her words are poetry
    D
and that's the kind of city
                  Em G D
which I want to belong mmm

[chorus]
                      G Gmaj7 G6
It's time to let your hair down
    Gmaj7 Em(2) Em9 Em
and give yourself permission
            G D
it takes courage and control
                         Em G D Em
but you start by letting go Oh ooh

[refrain]

  D A D Em
 Oh I think, I feel, I see
  D A D Em
Oh that this place is not me
      D A D Em
I want to be alone, but be wild and free
  D A D
 Oh he who asks receives

[chorus]
                       G Gmaj7 G6
It's time to let your hair down
    Gmaj7 Em(2) Em9 Em
and give yourself permission
            G D
it takes courage and control
                         Em G D
but you start by letting go Oh

                       G Gmaj7 G6
It's time to let your hair down
    Gmaj7 Em(2) Em9 Em
and give yourself permission
               G D
Oh it takes courage and control
                         Em G D
but you start by letting go Oh

My Bad! I was in such a rush to tab the song, I forgot to write that it is in fact a half-step higher than standard.

I just tuned to the song, figuring my guitar was flat!

CORRECTION: CAPO ON FIRST FRET!
