[Intro]

G C Am D (x2)

[Verse 1]

         G C
You have taken the heart of me
    Em C
And left just a part of me,
    G Em C D
And look, look, look what you've done.
          G C
Well, you took all the best of me,
   Em Fmaj7
So come get the rest of me,
    Em C F D
And look back, finish what you've
  G C Am D (2x)
begun.

[Verse 2]

         G C
There is some one you ought to meet;
     Em C
It's me, mister incomplete.
G Em C D
Look, at what I've become.
         G C
For it's due to the lack of you
         Em Fmaj7
That I'm now only half of two.
Em C F D
Look back, finish what you've
  G C Am D (2x)
begun.

D Dsus (4x)

[Chorus]

         D Dsus
Come and sit by my side
              D Dsus
Where there's nothing to hide.
         D Dsus C G
You will try to decide what you needed;
         D Dsus
But from where I stand today,
        D Dsus
I can't think of the way
       D Dsus
Or the words that I might say
          Am7 C
That will change your mind and make you stay.
    D C G C Am D
Oh, no, not for all the times I've pleaded.

[Verse 3]

G C Em D
Look, look, look what you've done.
         G C
You have taken the best of me,
   Em Fmaj7
So come get the rest of me,
    Em C F D G C Am D
And look back; finish what you've begun.

G C Am D

G C Am D G
           I'll be done.

I usually plant my pinkie on the 'G' note and play the C(G), Em (G) in this fashion. it seems to me this is a better sound - I think your chording is off as I play it with the following order:

G C Em Am Em Am C D -

Try it out and see what you think. Love the song!
