BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN: DEATH TO MY HOMETOWN
From the Album: Wrecking Ball

Capo on 3rd fret

C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
(Chant)

C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
Oh, no cannonball did fly, no rifles cut us down
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
No bombs fell from the sky, no blood soaked the ground
   C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
No powder flash blinded the eye, no deathly thunder sound
    C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
But just as sure as the hand of God, they brought death to my hometown
C C Gsus2 C
They brought death to my hometown, boys

C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
(Chant)

C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
No shells ripped the evening sky, no cities burning down
          C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
No armies stormed the shores for which we'd die no dictators were crowned
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
I awoke from a quiet night, I never heard a sound
  C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
Marauders raided in the dark and brought death to my hometown, boys
C Gsus2 C
Death to my hometown

C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C Gsus2 C
(Chant)

        F C
They destroyed our families' factories and they took our homes
     F C G
They left our bodies on the plains, the vultures picked our bones

   C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
So listen up, my sonny boy, be ready for when they come
C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
For they'll be returning sure as the rising sun
    C Fmaj7 Gsus2 C
Now get yourself a song to sing and sing it 'til you're done

      F C F C
Yeah, sing it hard and sing it well
         F C F C
Send the robber barons straight to hell
    F C F C
The greedy thieves who came around
    F C F C
And ate the flesh of everything they found
      F C F C
Whose crimes have gone unpunished now
    F C F C
Who walk the streets as free men now

C C Gsus2 C
Ah, they brought death to our hometown, boys
C Gsus2 C
Death to our hometown, boys
C Gsus2 C
Death to our hometown, boys
C Gsus2 C
Death to our hometown, whoa!

I would suggest the lines of the verse alternate - the first should be C, Fmaj7, C, F then the second as you have it.. what do you think?
