-SONG-

[Intro i-ii-iii]

       C G
i pick up a broken comb
       Em G
run it through my thin grey hair
         Am Em
though i don't have any plans tonight
        C G
i'm not going anywhere
       C G
well i should have seen this coming
      Em G
don't know why i'm surprised
          Am Em
cos every vessel on its way down
           C
takes with it the captain's life

[see "though i'm blind..." tab above]
though i'm blind my dear i see
the parade goes on without me
my body aches my mind it weeps
for you .... for you

[Intro i x2]

            C G
tonight i'm locked outside my building
        Em G
guess i must have lost the keys
             Am Em
so i'll just sit on the sidewalk
            C G
and let the snow fall on my knees
         C G
and if i made it to a payphone
        Em G
i don't know who i would call
       Am Em
so for now i'll close my eyes and rest
           C
my crooked back against the wall

[G-G2 x3]

            C G
i read that old men will see visions
          Em G
and young men will follow dreams
      Am Em
and i believed it when i read it
           C G
i see your face in everything
         C G
now your honey jars are frozen
           Em G
and in the window your books have browned
            Am Em
and there's too much room inside our bed
             C
i think i'll join you in the ground

[see "though i'm blind..." tab above]
though i'm blind my dear i see
let the chorus sing without me
my body breaks my mind it sleeps
     C C2
with you oh oh oh

[G-G2 x3 - G]

I'm totally in love with this song and this tab is the best I've seen

Apologies! Just replaying through my old tab. I don't know how I left out two chords, but there's a Dsus2 and a D#+ missing from the chords/pattern. E A D G B e Dsus2 = X 5 4 0 3(0) D#+ = X 6 5 4 4 X The Dsus2 comes in on the *see* of "...though I'm blind my dear I *see*" (and again on the *me* of "...parade moves on without *me*," same for "...chorus sing without *me*"). The D#+ comes in on the *weeps* of "...body aches my mind it *weeps*" (same for "...body breaks my mind it *sleeps*"). Hope that helps.

No dynamic chord progressions. All hard coded in. Impossible to transpose and thus hard for piano playing.
