Not a bad tab. I was able to use it to get the gist of the song though playing on acoustic and trying to make up a folkier version. So, I could not give 5 stars since it is supposed to be an electric, power chord deal, and I was ignoring the solos - which could be completely off for all I know.

The chorus and bridge ("Elvis is dead part") are right on. The verse doesn't seem to work for me unless I barre the Em (x7998xx) and slide to barred D's and C's (ignoring the G6 deal). Then on the second verse pass, I'm not sure about the G to F#m deal. Doesn't sound right to me, but all my Bush CDs were destroyed by my 2-year old and I can't verify. From memory the G and F#m would be squeels from the lead (using the A-for barres which are way higher than the E form one I was trying to do) while the rhythm may still be playing D and C. If I just make all the verses Em---|D-C-| (using A barres) it seems to work good enough.

So, thanks for the tab. It's a shame it's been ignored all this time. It's pretty useful.

Day 2 - Couldn't get the song out of my head. Came back to it and this guys tab actually works pretty well. I came up with a pretty cool version for acoustic using it, with a little work through the rough areas (timing, etc). Here are my add-ons to Ryeband's tab:

Note: dots are to be ignored, used only to hold positioning

1) Intro & Verses: Main strings to beat on in []'s

Em = [022]000
G6 = [3x0]000
D = x0[023]2
C = x[3x0]30

1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &|1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &|
/ / x / / / x / / . x . / . x /
Em . . .G6 (Em)|D . - . C - . .| (x4)

Em . . . . . G6 . .(Em). |D . . . . C . . . . |
. There must be something we can eat
. May-be . . find another lover
. Should I . fly to Los Angeles
. Find my .. a - hole . . brother

Pre-chorus:
(Same as verse - but emphasis mutes on 2 and 4 counts. Also, strum hard and quick on last C before chorus.)
Em . . . . . G6 . (Em). |D . . . . C . . . . |
. There's no sex in your violence

Chorus: (* = hammer E string on and off on G’s)

Should be barres, but found it works pretty well with opens on acoustic as:

Am = x0[021]0
F = [133]211
G = [320]003 (hammer top 3, which is same note as barre so it works)

I thought it was worth jotting this down 'cuz I came by this chord post a couple years ago and couldn't make heads or tails of it. Now that I've gotten a little better, it made enough sense. I figure more advance players will look at the tabs, and play barres trying to act like Bush. If you want to folk it down and make a mellow campfire/sing-along version (that still rocks), this one works pretty nice as shown above.

at first I thought that you gave too much crap to the author, but man, this is some outstanding work and exactly what I was looking for. You should definetly post your edited version as for Acoustic.
