    Well here is one great song by another great band with great lyrics and lead
    guitar.  I think these guys are really great even though they are Brittish
    cause they sound North American.  Here is MachineHead, at least the main parts.
    At the begginning wait two measures(two times of what the guitar is playing and
    then play and open E string and let it ring for two more measures then play
    this six times I believe.

This tab is wrong, through most of the song he only alternates between playing 4 on the A string and either open A string or 5th fret of the E string. He DOES NOT follow the guitar up the neck. You can very clearly hear it if you pay attention during the parts where the guitar goes up, but the bass notes stay the same. You can also see this by watching videos of the bassist on YouTube. You can hear it: Dun dun, da dun dun. dun dun, da dun dun, dun dun, da dun dun, dun dun, da dun dun. Slight pause between the sets of notes where he doesn't hit the muted note. And like I said, you can either play it on the 5th fret, or play it open. I find it easier to mute the 5th fret and have it sound right rather than trying to mute the open string, and to my ears it sounds like that's what he does on the Album too.
