G Cadd2 G Gsus4 G
I've been to Vegas alright
     Am7 C G D
I've lit up the desert behind my taillights
         G G7 C A7
And I've been around enough now to learn
       Am7* C Dadd4 C G Gsus4 G
It's a strange time to be a stranger

[Verse 2]
(E F#) G C G Gsus4 G
And I've got a steam engine mind
     Am7 (B) C G D
Just fire me up and I'll drill through the night
         G G7 C A7
But I've been around enough now to see
   Am7* C Dadd4 C G Gsus4 G
It pays to be more like John Henry

[Chorus]
   D Cadd9 (C B A) G Gsus4 G
If you are my brother I'd put no o-ther be-fore you
        D Cadd9
You can pillage and plunder the villages through
    D#dim7 Em7 (A B) D
But what can you fit in your tomb
               G (C B A) G (C B A)
Besides roses and gloom

[Verse 3]
G C G Gsus4 G
I've got a price on my head
    Am7 (B) C G D
You won't be the first one to wish I was dead
          G G7 C A7
I've just been around enough now to choose
    Am7* C Dadd4 C G Gsus4 G
The bets I ought better to lose

[Verse 4]
(E F#) G C G Gsus4 G
And I've got my ancestors' blood
        Am7 C G D
I could follow the footsteps they left in the mud
         G G7 C A7
But I've been around enough now to know
        Am7* C Dadd4 C G Gsus4 G
You can wash your feet, but never your soul

[Chorus]
      D Cadd9 (C B A) G Gsus4 G
So If you are my brother I'd put no o-ther be-fore you
        D Cadd9
You can pillage and plunder the villages through
    D#dim7 Em7 (A B) D
But what can you fit in your tomb
               G (C B A) G (C B A) G
Besides roses and gloom

Hey Mate. I had a look at Carson playing roses and gloom. I think where you have the D7 in the verses he is actually playing an Am other than that you nailed it thanks again for getting this song up so quick
