Bernie Herms & Mark Hall

Intro
F#m Esus E (x2)

Verse 1
D E F#m F#m7/A A D
Here I am Lord and I'm drowning, in Your sea of forgetfulness
              E F#m F#m7/A A/C# D
The chains of yesterday surround me, I yearn for peace and rest
                E F#m E D
I don't want to end up where You found me, and it echoes in my mind
      E D
Keeps me awake tonight
D E F#m A D
I know You've cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
      E F#m A D
And I stand before You now as… as though I've never sinned
             E F#m C#m D E E
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way

Chorus 1
D F#m F#m7/A E
Jesus can You show me just how, far the east is from the west
               Bm D E
'Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
       F#m F#m7/A E
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
                Bm A/C# D
'Cause You know just how far the east is from the west
(E – when going into bridge)
From one scarred hand to the other

Verse 2
D E F#m F#m7/A D
I start the day the war begins endless reminding of my sin
          E F#m F#m7/A D
Time and time again Your Truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
         E F#m C#m D E
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way

Bridge
A E/G# F#m
I know You've washed me white… turned my darkness into light
                    D/F# D A
I need Your peace to get me through… to get me through this night
                       C#m F#m
I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth Your Word reveals
                      D F#m E
I'm not holding on to You, but You're holding on to me
                    F#m E
You're holding on to me

Chorus 2(different than chorus 1)
E A E/G#
Jesus You know just how far the east is from the west
              F#m D/F# D
'Cause I don’t have to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
        A E/G#
In the arms of Your Mercy I find rest (mercy I find rest)
                Bm A/C# D
'Cause You know just how far the east is from the west
                                   F#m
From one scarred Hand to the other
           E F#m E
(just how far, the east is from the west, just how far)
                                   F#m
From one scarred Hand to the other
                    E F#m D
(You know just how far, the east is from the west, just how far)
                                   D
From one scarred Hand to the other

Great job on a great song!
One suggestion: On Chorus 2, instead of repeating F#m - E, play the intro: F#m - Esus - E.

Thanks for hard work and God Bless
