[Verse 1]
   G
He wasn't one to talk much
     D
When we poured off to school
        Em C G
I could never tell what's runnin' through his mind
        G D
It'd be three more hours until those halls are full
    Em D Cadd9
But long walls don't run on nine to five
  D
I didn't get it then
      Cadd9 G
Every day that man would fight
D Cadd9 D
Punch the clock and make it home alive

[Chorus]
         C G
He's got miner imperfections
D G
Blame it on his roots
C G
Callouses on his hands
D
Coal dust on his boots
         C G
He's not one for conversation
D G
When there's work to do
C G
Papaw said get paid in cash
D
Company script's a noose
     Em D Cadd9
Them city folks would shame him if he let them
  Cadd9 D G
But he's proud of his miner imperfections

|(G) | D | Em D | G |

[Verse 2]
G
Years went by and I grew up
    D
His brown hair faded white
   Em C G
He somehow picks up every time I call
G D
Moved me in and bailed me out and shared all he knows about
     Em D Cadd9
Like how to pair a diamond to a girl
         D Cadd9 G
His hard edges cut me deep when I was just a boy
  D Cadd9 D
I saw his face light up when those grandchildren were born

[Chorus]
         C G
He's got miner imperfections
D G
Blame it on his roots
C G
Callouses on his hands
D
Coal dust on his boots
         C G
He's not one for conversation
D G
When there's work to do
C G
He told me do what you love
D
Misery's a noose
     Em D Cadd9
Them city folks would shame him if he let them
    Cadd9 D G
But I'm proud of his miner imperfections

|(G) | D | Em D | G |

[Bridge]
D
I don't mine no coal
       Cadd9 G
But my collar's still stained blue
   D Cadd9 G
My kids looked up at me the way I looked at him
D Cadd9 G
For those little ones there's nothin' I won't do
  D Cadd9 D
I hope one day they can understand

[Chorus]
         C G
I've got miner imperfections
    D G
I'm proud of my roots
    C G
And callouses on my hands
D
Singin' to a room
        C G
I'm not one for conversation
     D G
When I've got work to do
  C G
I tell my kids do what you love
    D
And papaw told me too
     Em D Cadd9
Them city folks try to shame me now and then, don't mind them
   Cadd9 D Em D
I'm proud of my miner imperfections

[Outro]
    C D G
I'm proud of my miner imperfections

The title of this song is not Minor Imperfections, it is Miner Imperfections. Great tab, but like @akreh said, it does need to be transposed down two.

Transpose -2 and it is identical to studio recording! Nice tab!
