                             Chevelle - The Clincher
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by:A-T-L

Tuning: Contrary to popular belief, it's in Drop B, trust me

   Intro (start with feedback)
C#|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G#|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E |---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B |--------------------------3h2053p0-3h2053p0223p0---------xx----------------|
F#|----320530-3205302230-----3h2053p0-3h2053p0223p0---------xx----------------|
B |----320530-3205302230-----3h2053p0-3h2053p0223p0---------xx----------------|

      Play 4x softly Play 4x more aggresively(use hammer/pick offs)

Verse 1 (actually it's all bass, but you can play this)

      Play 4x

correct tabbing of the bridge on this site)
C#|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G#|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E |----10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10------------------------------------|

F#|----8--8--8--8--0--0--0--0--8--8--8--8---0~~~~~~~~~5*----------------------|
B |-----------------------------------------0~~~~~~~~~------------------------|

Listen for proper strumming. If you have a wah pedal use it when appropriately by
to song. It sounds great with the wah. After the harmonics on the 5th fret go into verse 2.

Play 4x, then go to bridge 2:

F#|---8--8--8--8--0--0--0--0--------------------------------------------------|
B |---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Listen for strumming, hit the chorus after that.

Chorus(This may be a little off, but it's how I play it. Decide for yourself)

These are the chords, listen for strumming. Play this once here, then go to the interlude.

PM............... open PM............. open(2x for this open part)

After this is the part where Pete is screaming "NOW SATURATE". It's played the same as
intro (aggressive part)

Then go to the Chorus riff three times and back to the "NOW SATURATE" aggressive part
finish with the part where Pete is kinda whispering "now saturate" with the soft strumming
the intro.

I hope this isn't too confusing. Listen to the song a lot and the tab will become more
This is pretty close to being exactly right. Have fun.
