I have a friend at Vineyard that explained "the Vineyard chord progression" used in this song. It's amazingly simple.
G, C2, Am7(actually, A7sus4), and Dsus are all done with your 4th and 3rd fingers continuously parked on the 3rd fret of the e and b strings, respectively. Your first and second fingers are the only ones that move. The 4th finger raises only occasionally for a D. There's a youtube video for "God of Wonders" (which has the same chords) that instructs this.
Chris sings a "D" in the 2nd "love" of the chorus. I suspect rockstar_not hears the G in a Dsus, rather than the G that makes Em. Just a guess. Try "love" with a Dsus. So all those "D"s - they could be a Dsus, or Dsus-to-D instead. Try them both ways and play what sounds right to you.
Finally, the G in the chorus starts on MessIah, ReDEEmer, and SINners. At least that's how we just practiced it for Sunday.

Only one small correction I believe:
On the 2nd line of the pre-chorus, it's an Em instead of D on the second 'love'.
An improvement over version 2.
