Tuning: Standard

This is pretty basic. I left out the intro part,
but there's another version up that includes one.
I didn't feel like sitting down to pick it out myself. Enjoy!

The "Intro" chords are the same as the verse.

[Verse 1]

G#
Nothing new to say, nothing to report cause
    F C# G#
the future happened yesterday
G#
If I could tell the truth, I would make you stay,
    F C# G#
but forever seems so far away

[Chorus]

E G# F#
I fell apart in your arms for the last time,
           E G#
and I felt free to do what I want,
               F#
because of the things you told me,
               E G#
because of the things you told me,
         F# G#
you told me, I felt free

[Verse 2]

G#
You could be the end of me, too many shades of gray;
          F C# G#
it's just another pointless game that we play
G#
I couldn't tell the truth, I'll never make you stay,
        F C# G#
because tomorrow always happens yesterday

[Chorus]

E G# F#
I fell apart in your arms for the last time,
           E G#
and I felt free to do what I want,
               F#
because of the things you told me,
               E G#
because of the things you told me,
         F# E G# F#
you told me, I felt free

E G# F#
I felt free-eeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeee
E G# F#
I felt free-eeeeeee-eeee-eeeee-eeeeeeee

E G# F#
I will learn to live again for now I'm breaking
E G# F#
all the things I couldn't mend without escaping
E G# F#
I will learn to love again, I will learn to love
F#
I will learn....

And repeat the chorus, whatever until the end.
If you listen before/while you play you shouldn't
have any trouble at all, or if you just know the song really well.

This is probably my favourite song on the album.
And this is my first chord/tab!

This tab is better than the others in my opinion. Thing is, the verse it's Fminor not Fmajor and the chorus it Abminor not Abmajor. Other than that GOOD JOB, I was just about to post this tab until i saw yours. Pretty much the same thing i was going to do just the little corrections. Again, good job.

The intro chords are E, Ab m, and F# like the chorus, not the verse. And I agree with mannyguitarist's corrections.

I separated the posts because this one is my preference, not necessarily a correction (given that mannyguitarist's corrections apply).

My way of playing is:

Intro/Chorus/Bridge Verse Alternate E
E Abm F# Ab Fm C# E(VII)
E|---------------------------------------------------|
B|-0---4---2------------4---1---6--------------------|
G|-1---4---3------------5---1---6--------4-----------|
D|-2---6---4------------6---3---6--------6-----------|
A|-2---6---4------------6---3---4--------7-----------|
E|-0-------------------------------------0-----------|

Sometimes I use the alternate E for the intro and instrumental parts of the bridge.
