Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
The other submission of chords for this song is relatively accurate, however there are
inaccuracies that must be addressed for anyone who wishes to learn this song for a solo
properly. Here they are:

Chords:

G Cadd9 F C

e--3------------3------------1----------0-|
B--3------------3------------1----------1-|
G--0------------0------------2----------0-|
D--0------------2------------3----------2-|
A--2------------3------------3----------3-|
E--3------------X------------1----------X-|

Riff:

e-------------------|
B---------3-----3---|
G---------0-----0---|
D---------0-----0---|
A---2h3-----2-------|
E-----------------3-|

For the beginning of the song, the riff is played twice, then played over the verse:

Riff Riff
She said that time is unfair to a woman her age,

Riff Riff
Now that wisdom has come, everything else fades,

F
She said she realizes that,

C
She's seen her better days,

Riff (x2)
(drum beat which can be done very well with muted strumming on an acoustic)

Riff Riff
She said you gotta look back, to the days of youth,

Riff Riff
What she thought were lies, she later found was truth,

F
She said her daddy had dreams,

C
But he drank them away,

Riff x2

F
And her mother's to blame,

C
For the way she is today,

Riff x2
(drum beat)

G Cadd9
Life's river shall rise, she said,

G Cadd9
Then only the strong shall survive, she said,

G Cadd9
But I'm feeling quite weak, she said,

G Cadd9
Won't you comfort and forgive me, she said

Riff x4

Riff Riff
She said she's still searching for salvation's light,

Riff Riff
Yeah, she wishes all day, then she prays all night,

F
She said she won't speak of love,

C
Cause love she's never known,

Riff x2

F
And it's moments like these,

C
When she hates to be alone,

Riff x2
(drum beat)

G Cadd9
Life's river shall rise, she said,

G Cadd9
Then only the strong shall survive, she said,

G Cadd9
But I'm feeling quite weak, she said,

G Cadd9
Will you comfort and forgive me, she said,

Riff x2

Instrumental: F---C---Riff---F---C---Riff(x8)
(drum beat)

G Cadd9
Life's river shall rise, she said,

G Cadd9
Then only the strong shall survive, she said,

G Cadd9
But I'm feeling quite weak, she said,

G Cadd9
Will you comfort and forgive me, she said,

G Cadd9
Life's river shall rise, she said,

G Cadd9
Then only the strong shall survive, she said,

G Cadd9
But I'm feeling quite weak, she said,

G Cadd9
Will you comfort and forgive, forgive me, she said,

Riff
Forgive me, she said,

Riff
Forgive me, she said

G (let it ring)

That's it. It's one of my favorite songs, so I felt it needed to be done justice. I
performed this at places that got some major crowds and they loved it the way it was done,
is EXACTLY as I've relayed it to you. The only thing I couldn't put in words or symbols
timing. That's up to you. If you can figure this out, then you can figure out the
 It's not really that hard.

"You stood on the shoulders of geniuses and before you even knew what you had, you
it, packaged it, slapped it on a plastic lunchbox and now, you're selling it." -Ian Malcolm
